Hey Carp! I was just checking out your twitterstream and saw this post. The nonfiction book I'm still recommending to a lot of people is The Art of Effortless Living by Ingrid Bacci. It might seem to be a run-of-the-mill self-help book, but it actually has one of the most insightful cultural critiques inside, which is also very relevant to the Web 2.0 sphere of interest. Here's the link:

Have a nice vacation!

The book about the mafia is very good. I highly recommend it. If I may do so in a humble manner, please consider my book, An Island Away, available on Amazon. You can find an excerpt and other info at my blog, www.bentpage.wordpress.com. Thank you for your consideration. Enjoy the reading.

I haven't checked myself, but I am not surprised. From experience I know that the TV signal has to be encoded for internet, and that this definitely takes more than 1 second. At Talpa we had a so-called Internet Uitzendstraat, and it would typically take about 30 seconds for a stream to get through the 'street'.
This has nothing to do with Ziggo, but with the encoding NOS uses.
