Remarkable parental controls Viacom

Viacom decided to use parental controls for their new virtual city called Nicktropolis aimed at kids aged 9-14. While I do not believe in parental controls affecting the online behaviour of kids aged 8 and up, their idea of control is this:

“Aside from other protections, Nicktropolis also requires that each time a kid logs in, parents are notified via e-mail.”

I guess that means a lot of parents will know that their kid entered Nicktropolis a few days later. Wow, good thinking. SMS was too instant?
